Test Automation strategy
Our Portal & Sector department is currently focusing on applying automated test in a tools-oriented proof of concept setting. You have a change to become a part of this journey and contribute to our test automation strategy and herby contribute to improving release quality as well as efficiency in development and maintenance.
About the internship
The SDC Summer Internships provide a unique opportunity to gain professional experience in a Scandinavian Banking-IT organization and to collaborate with and learn from experienced colleagues in both Poland and Denmark.
For the right candidates we offer a 3 months paid internship based on student agreement that will run over the summer of 2020. The internship can also be a great steppingstone towards further cooperation and a career at SDC Poland.
The Portal & Sector department wants to develop a strategy to increase test automation coverage for improved release quality and development & maintenance efficiency. The current test automation suite uses Gherkin, Cucumber, Selenium, Junit and TFS.
The intern will work closely with stakeholders from Portal & Sector and Test Management to build the strategy that describes how to achieve:
- Improved resource efficiency through application of automated testing
- Improved quality in development through higher, affordable level of coverage
- Improved quality of manual testing through better documented test material.
The desired outcome is a strategy document that includes current state assessment, goals and objectives, analysis of how to make the strategy operational form a technology, people and governance perspective high-level roadmap, a plan for the first year, issues and inhibitors.

You are currently a post-graduate student and you are among the best when comparing to your peers. You are fluent in English, have an interest in the financial sector and possess strong analytical skills that enable you to quickly understand the business context you are working in.
You also have strong technical skills within the relevant technologies:
- Test automation tools
- Test management
- Test automation strategies
Finally, we expect you to be outgoing, structured, analytic and self-paced.
